What is DriveUploader, and how does it work?

DriveUploader is a fast and user-friendly tool that allows you to collect files from anyone and automatically save them to your Google Drive™. Creating an uploader takes less than two minutes and requires no coding.

DriveUploader is a stand-alone application and is not an official app or add-on by Google. All uploaded files are stored in your own Google Drive™ and are subject to Google's terms and conditions.

To use DriveUploader, you need a Google account with an active Google Drive™, as all uploaded files are stored there securely.

What can I do with DriveUploader?

DriveUploader helps you easily collect, organize, analyze, and manage files and information from anyone uploading to you. With DriveUploader, you can:

• Receive large files from anyone - Uploaders don't need an account to send files. There's no file size limit on uploads (only your Google Drive™ storage limit applies).
• Embed uploader on your website - Add an uploader to your website using a simple iFrame. No coding required. If you are curious, read this tutorial.
• Save email attachments directly to Drive - Submit files to your Google Drive™ by email.
• Organize uploads into smart folders - Automatically create folder structures based on criteria like upload date, uploader, or form responses.

Is there a file size limit for upload?

No, DriveUploader does not impose any file size limits of its own. You can upload files of any size as long as you have enough available storage in your Google Drive™ account.

You can still apply optional restrictions for each uploader, such as allowed file types or the number of files per submission, to better control your workflow. The maximum file size is determined only by your available storage and Google Drive's limitations.

Can I try the service for free?

Yes, you can. DriveUploader offers a Free plan that allows you to use and test all core features at no cost.

Which plan is right for me?

To cover a wide range of use cases, DriveUploader offers four different plans. Each one is designed for a specific type of user:

• Free plan - A no-cost plan with basic upload features, unlimited file uploads (limited only by your Google Drive™ storage), and access to Document AI. The main limitations are that uploaders expire after one day and the upload page includes DriveUploader branding. This plan is ideal for testing the application or for occasional personal use.
• Plus plan - The best value for money if your primary goal is to receive files without advanced features. With non-expiring uploaders, custom upload page design, web integration, and folder uploads, the Plus plan turns DriveUploader into a professional tool for individuals.
• Pro plan - Designed for power users who need deeper insights into uploads, Shared Drive storage, and advanced automation. This plan includes APIs, webhooks, and extensive customization options, making it ideal for users who want to go beyond simple file collection and integrate DriveUploader into their own systems.
• Team plan - Built for small teams or businesses with multiple users. The Team plan includes all DriveUploader features, along with user management tools and optimized pricing for teams that need to collaborate efficiently at scale.

Does upload require credits?

No, credits are not required for standard file uploads. You can collect files without using any credits.

How are AI credits used and what happens when I run out of AI credits?

AI credits are used only when the Document AI feature is enabled for an uploader. One file processed using AI = one credit.

Credits are applied only after the file has been received, so uploads are never blocked in advance.

If you run out of AI credits, your uploader will continue to work normally. File uploads will still be accepted, but AI processing will not be applied to newly uploaded files.

DriveUploader will notify you by email when you reach 80% and 100% of your AI credit usage.

AI credits included in your plan are renewed monthly. If needed, you can also purchase additional AI credits at any time, regardless of your active plan.

Can I change, cancel or downgrade my plan at any time?

Yes, you can change, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time.

If you upgrade from a lower plan to a higher one, you will be charged immediately. The price is calculated based on the difference between your current plan and the new plan, taking into account the amount you have already paid.

If you downgrade to a lower plan, any unused prepaid amount will be applied to your future payments.

When you cancel your subscription, your account will not switch to the Free plan right away. You can continue using your current plan and its features until the end of the prepaid billing period.

Do I lose my data when I cancel the DriveUploader subscription?

No, you will never lose your files.

Once a file is uploaded to your Google Drive™, you are the sole owner of that file. Canceling your DriveUploader subscription does not delete or remove any files stored in your Drive, and no one can take them away from you.

How secure is DriveUploader?

DriveUploader is designed with security and privacy in mind, even when handling sensitive or confidential files.

File transfers through DriveUploader are more secure than sending files by email. Uploaded files are saved directly to your Google Drive™ and do not pass through DriveUploader servers. This significantly reduces exposure and minimizes security risks.

All file transfers are protected using secure HTTPS encryption. Access to uploaded files follows the same permissions and security rules as your Google Drive™, so you stay in full control of your data at all times.

DriveUploader never takes ownership of your files and does not access or store them outside your Google Drive™.

Do you offer a discount for education or non-profit organisations?

Yes, we offer special discounts for eligible organizations.

Educational institutions receive a 20% discount, and non-profit organizations receive a 25% discount on all plans.
